Joy's bike (2003 Suzuki Savage) is in the shop getting new used parts - exhaust, highway bars, floorboards and driver backrest! Karin's bike (2003 Honda Shadow LXI) merely needs new turn signals (the bike used to be Joy's and kissed the pavement too many times). Thanks Cindy and John for the great care you gave it. By next week both bike's will be ready for the ride.
Meanwhile, we purchased some fun toys for the trip...a GoPro Camera to put on the side of our helmets to record the trip (operated by remote and showing up on our smart phones mounted on the handle bars) and 'headsets' that will give us a variety of communication choices from merely chatting to blue tooth connection to our smart phones, including GPS, music and phone calls by pushing a button on the side of the helmet.
